The absolutely true diary of a Part-time Indian (part 6)

Pages 197-230
After the game between Reardan and Wellpinit, Junior regeted because he made Wellpinit team lose. At that night, Junior had a short conversation in the internet with Rowdy. They talked and laughed together. They forgot everything and became best friend again. A few weeks later, Junior's family had another big shock: his older sister died because of fire. She had a party in her house and one of her friend forgot to turn of the stove. The fire was catched and killed her and her husband. When Junior heard that news, he was crazy. He didn't know how to cry. He just laughed. like an insane. In his sister's funeral, he couldn't had any tear for his sister. He went out of the funeral and sat in the ground with Rowdy. He tried to make fun, but Rowdy didn't like that. He was crying. Rowdy punch Junior in his face. Junior didn't laugh anymore. He became quite. He thought about many things. He thought he was kill his sister. Because he went to school in Reandar, his sister had to save money. So she lived in a cheap house and she burned to death. Junior started crying. Rowdy, too......
It was summer, his school ended, so he stayed home in the summer. One day, Rowdy went to Junior's house. He wanted to play basketball with Junior. They went out and play one-by-one. During the game, rowdy talked too much with Junior. He forgave Junior. He said Junior was nomadic and he had to leave the rez, travel to other places. Junior was crying. He loves Rowdy so much, no one could be a best friend like Rowdy. They understood feelings of each other. At that day, they played basketball untill it was dark. They had a good night with their best friend.
(the end)

My respond:
I was listening a sad song while I was reading the rest of the book. That song is a song without lyrics. It made me think about Junior. His life likes that song. There are many ups and downs. It always has many difficulties, but also has some happy things that appear in his life. He could fly by his own wings. He was brave and strong enough to make his dreams come true. He also had helps from Rowdy, his parents and supports from his grandma, his sister and Eugene. He had big dreams and it was the time for him make his dreams come true. I believe that he can do it. I hope he can do the things that he hopes. I hope his wings will get him fly high and far to beautiful places.......
