Around the world in 80 days Part 7

They got on a board, the Rangoon, which was crossing over the China Seas and the Sea of Japan, to Hong Kong for Mrs. Aouda. When they were on the board, Passepartout was surprised to see Mr.Fix again after a long time. Also, Mr.Fix was surprised to a new member in Mr.Fogg's team, the lady, Mrs. Aouda. He was suspicious of everything Fogg did, followes without being seen. Because of bad weather, they would be twenty-four hours late and missed the departure for Yokohama, Japan from Hong Kong. Luckly, a board, the Carnatic, which was crossing from Yokohama to San Francisco, needed repairs, so it would not leave until the next day. Because Mr. Fogg knew the richest businessmen in Hong Kong, so he could leave Mrs. Aouda with the businessman, but the businessman had left Hong Kong to Europe. Mr. Fogg decided to go to Europe with Mrs. Aouda to find his friend. For keeping Phileas Fogg in Hong Kong for a few more days, Mr. Fix had to tell Passepartout the "true", but Passepattout didn't believe that. So Fix decided to contact directly with Phileas Fogg. He told Fogg that the Carnatic had finished repairs, and it left Hong Kong twelve hours early without informing anyone. But Fogg found a schooner the Tankadere, and he asked the pilot to go to Shanghai where the steamer started from Shanghai to Amercia, but when they got on the boat, they could not find Passepatout, nobody knew where he went to. And on the schooner, there was a new member added, Mr. Fix.

No matter what happened to Mr. Fogg, he will never be worried. Because he always says it has already taken into account. From the Mr. Fogg's behaviors to Mrs. Aouda, we can also find he does very respect women. From the conversation between Mr. Fix and Passepatout, we knew Passepatout is a very honest servant. Even they did not know where Passepatout went, they knew he would not betray, and Mr. Fogg thought that he probably got on the steamer which they missed earlier. But why Fix got on the same boat with Fogg, and did not ask Fogg what he thought, or even catch him, so he can finish his task and get his salary earlier.
